Equine Livery Packages
Individual care and training, tailored to your horse.
Our livery packages are designed around the individual horse rather than a fixed formula. Whether you have a youngster needing early education, a horse ready to begin its ridden career, an established horse requiring further development, or simply need trusted care while you are away, we aim to provide a calm, thoughtful and professional approach.
We place a strong emphasis on producing confident, thinking horses. Training is progressive rather than rushed, with each stage introduced in a way that suits the horse's age, temperament, previous experience and physical development.
-
From £200 per week
For foals, yearlings, two- and three-year-olds who would benefit from professional handling and age-appropriate education before backing.

Grooming and accepting touch
Loading and travelling preparation
Confidence around unfamiliar objects and environments
Understanding pressure and release
Preparation for veterinary procedures
Introduction to tack where appropriate
Groundwork
Long-reining where appropriate
Preparation for gradings, evaluations or shows
What's Included
Full day-to-day care

Individual training programme
Regular age-appropriate training sessions
Progress updates
Owner handover or training discussion before the horse returns home
Youngstock livery can be used for a specific goal or as part of a longer-term education plan.
The aim is not to have the horse doing as much as possible as early as possible. It is to make each new stage smaller, easier and more familiar when the time comes.
-
From £250 per week
Backing should be the continuation of an education rather than the beginning of one.
Our pre-backing and backing programmes are individually structured according to the horse's age, physical development, temperament, previous handling and confidence.
Depending on the horse, this may include:
Groundwork
Long-reining
Introduction to tack
Mounting preparation
Accepting weight and a rider
Developing understanding of basic ridden aids
Establishing confidence in walk and trot
Introducing simple ridden routines
Owner handover and transition home
What's Included

Owner handover session
There is no fixed timetable for backing a horse. Some horses progress quickly through a stage, while others benefit from more repetition or more time to process what they have learnt.
The priority is not simply getting someone on the horse. We want each horse to understand the process well enough that we can confidently build on it afterwards.
-
From £275 per week

Programmes can be tailored to horses at different stages and may include:
Establishing the basic ridden aids
Improving relaxation and confidence

-
From £40 per day
Not every horse needs to stay for several weeks.
Short-stay training livery can be useful when you would like professional help with a particular stage, skill or problem without committing to a longer programme.
This may include:
Loading
Long-reining
Pre-backing preparation
Introducing tack
Handling issues
Confidence-building
Refreshing established groundwork
Introducing a new skill
Getting training back on track
What's Included
Full care for the duration of the stay
Forage
Standard bedding
Routine hard feed within our standard allowance
Turnout or stabling as agreed
Daily handling
Training focused around the agreed objective
Feedback and recommendations before the horse returns home
We will agree the aims of the stay beforehand and create a focused programme around the individual horse.
For some goals, a minimum stay may be recommended to give the horse enough time to settle, learn and consolidate what has been introduced.
-
£35 per night | £225 per week
For owners who need reliable, professional care for their horse while they are away.

Daily turnout and bringing in as agreed
Stable care
Forage
Standard bedding
Routine hard feed within our standard allowance
Rug changes

Our Approach to Horse Production
We don't believe every horse should be left completely untouched until four and then expected to learn everything within a few intensive weeks.
Equally, we don't believe horses need to be physically drilled from an early age.
There is a considerable amount that can be taught through short, thoughtful and age-appropriate education.
Horses can learn to listen, think, understand simple aids, accept new experiences and develop confidence without being physically exhausted.
By spreading education appropriately across the horse's development, backing and ridden work can become the next logical step rather than a sudden change in everything the horse knows.
Our aim is always to produce horses that are confident, trainable and well prepared for the next stage of their lives.
