CE Voodoo Child is a homebred colt by World Champion Glamourdale out of CE Idonae, and full brother to CE UB Glamorous (Cesha). An exciting young prospect with plenty of presence and quality, Voodoo achieved Premium status at the 2025 AES Foal Grading. He has been retained as a potential stallion prospect, with the possibility of presenting him for licensing and, if he continues to develop as we hope, standing him as part of the future of our breeding programme.

CE Voodoo Child, known at home as Jimmy Nelson, is by Glamourdale out of our mare CE Idonae, combining some of the most influential Dutch dressage bloodlines with generations of proven performance. As a full brother to CE UB Glamorous (Cesha), the mating is already showing consistency for us, with both offspring achieving strong evaluations through their respective youngstock gradings.

His sire, Glamourdale, by Lord Leatherdale out of a Negro mare, has established an exceptional record at the highest level of international dressage. After becoming World Champion as a seven-year-old, he progressed to Grand Prix and, with Charlotte Fry, became double individual World Champion at Herning in 2022. He has continued to achieve championship success at European and Olympic level, becoming particularly renowned for his exceptional canter, power, presence and ability to collect.

Glamourdale’s damsire, Negro, brings another generation of proven Grand Prix performance. A son of Ferro, Negro competed internationally at Grand Prix before becoming one of the most influential dressage sires of his generation. He is particularly well known as the sire of Valegro, whose championship career included Olympic, World and European titles. Ferro himself was also an international Grand Prix horse and Olympic team silver medallist, giving Jimmy a paternal line with performance proven across successive generations.

Jimmy’s dam, CE Idonae, brings an equally interesting depth of Dutch dressage breeding. She is by UB40 out of a Junior STV mare. UB40, by Olivi out of a Michelangelo mare, became an influential sire and is particularly well known as the sire of Apache. Apache competed internationally at Grand Prix with Emmelie Scholtens, including representing the Netherlands at the 2018 World Equestrian Games, before establishing an important legacy as a sire of international dressage horses.

Further back, Junior STV adds another proven performance line. By Uniform out of Ennia STV, by Variant, Junior STV won the inaugural Pavo Cup for four-year-olds in 1995 and returned to win again the following year with Anky van Grunsven. He subsequently progressed to international Grand Prix dressage, demonstrating performance from young horse competition through to the highest level. His sire, Uniform, was also recognised for his contribution to Dutch dressage breeding and was awarded the KWPN Preferent predicate.

Jimmy’s pedigree therefore brings together Glamourdale, Negro, Ferro, UB40, Junior STV and Uniform, giving him considerable depth of proven dressage performance. Particularly exciting for us is the consistency beginning to emerge from this combination. Jimmy achieved Premium status at the 2025 AES Foal Grading, while his full sister, CE UB Glamorous (Cesha), achieved a High Gold at the 2026 BEF Futurity, receiving a particularly strong mark for her canter.

Jimmy has been retained as a potential stallion prospect. There is still a long way to go before making that decision, with his development, temperament, performance and suitability for licensing all important considerations as he matures. However, with the quality he has shown from an early age, his grading result and the consistency we are seeing from this mating, we are very excited to see what the future holds for him.
