CE D’Acampo’s Pride is a homebred gelding by CE Jetialo IS out of CE Ekurante. He was sold as a foal to an amateur owner, but we are delighted that his journey with us isn’t quite finished. He is due to return to us in 2027 to be backed, and we’re incredibly excited to have the opportunity to be part of his education again and see how he has developed.

CE D’Acampo’s Pride is a homebred gelding by CE Jetialo IS out of CE Ekurante. His pedigree is particularly interesting to us as it combines proven international dressage bloodlines with genuine top-level jumping performance.

His sire, CE Jetialo IS, was by Apache out of an Edison mare. Apache competed internationally at Grand Prix with Emmelie Scholtens, including representing the Netherlands at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon, before establishing himself as an important sire of international dressage horses. His offspring include World Young Horse Champion Jovian, Indian Rock and Grand Galaxy Win. Apache was himself by UB40 out of a Krack C mare, adding further generations of established Dutch dressage breeding.

The other side of Jetialo’s pedigree adds a very different performance influence, with his damsire Edison having competed at 1.60m showjumping. This combination of proven dressage and top-level jumping performance was one of the particularly interesting aspects of Jetialo’s breeding.

Aslan’s dam, CE Ekurante, is by Warkant van ’t Gestelhof out of a Jazz mare. Warkant van ’t Gestelhof was a Grand Prix dressage stallion by Ferro, who won team silver for the Netherlands at both the World Equestrian Games and Olympic Games. His dam, Oreal van ’t Gestelhof, was by Furioso Z and came from a family with considerable jumping credentials. Among her other offspring was the Darco son Turbo van ’t Gestelhof, who competed at 1.60m showjumping. This gives Ekurante’s pedigree an interesting combination of Grand Prix dressage performance with close relatives proven at the highest levels of jumping.

Further back in Ekurante’s pedigree is Jazz, another hugely significant name in Dutch dressage breeding. Jazz competed internationally at Grand Prix before becoming one of the most influential sires in Dutch dressage breeding, producing numerous horses that went on to compete at the highest levels of the sport.

Aslan’s pedigree therefore brings together international Grand Prix dressage performance with genuine 1.60m jumping blood on both sides of his pedigree. Rather than being bred solely as a specialist dressage horse, he represents the combination of movement, athleticism and versatility that we particularly value in our breeding programme.

Aslan was sold as a foal to an amateur owner, but we are delighted that his journey with us isn’t quite finished. He is due to return to us in 2027 to be backed, and we are incredibly excited to see how he has developed and to be part of the beginning of his ridden career.
