CE UB Glamorous
Filly | Bay | To make 17hh
CE UB Glamorous, known at home as Cesha, is a homebred filly by World Champion Glamourdale out of CE Idonae. An exciting young mare with plenty of presence and athleticism, Cesha was awarded a High Gold at the 2026 BEF Futurity, receiving a particularly impressive mark for her canter. Retained by us for the future, we are incredibly excited to see how she develops and hope to produce her for competition alongside eventually incorporating her into our breeding programme.
CE UB Glamorous, known at home as Cesha, is by Glamourdale out of our mare CE Idonae, bringing together some of the most successful and influential Dutch dressage bloodlines on both sides of her pedigree.
Her sire, Glamourdale, is by Lord Leatherdale out of a Negro mare and has established an exceptional performance record at the very highest level of international dressage. After becoming World Champion for seven-year-old horses, Glamourdale progressed to Grand Prix and went on to become double individual World Champion in Herning in 2022 with Charlotte Fry. The partnership has since continued to achieve championship success at European and Olympic level, demonstrating not only Glamourdale’s expressive movement but his ability to collect, sit and perform consistently at the highest level.
Glamourdale’s pedigree is particularly interesting through his damsire, Negro, a son of the legendary Ferro. Negro competed internationally at Grand Prix himself before becoming an enormously influential breeding stallion, perhaps most famously as the sire of multiple Olympic and World Champion Valegro. This gives Cesha a direct connection to a line renowned for producing horses with power, trainability and the ability to perform the most collected work required at Grand Prix.
Cesha’s dam, CE Idonae, brings another strong branch of Dutch performance breeding. She is by UB40 out of a Junior STV mare. UB40, by Olivi out of a Michelangelo mare, became an influential sire in his own right and is particularly well known as the sire of Apache. Apache competed internationally at Grand Prix with Emmelie Scholtens, including representing the Netherlands at the 2018 World Equestrian Games, before developing an important breeding legacy through numerous successful international offspring.
The maternal line continues through Junior STV, by Uniform out of Ennia STV, by Variant. Junior STV won the inaugural Pavo Cup for four-year-olds in 1995 and returned to win again the following year with Anky van Grunsven. He subsequently progressed all the way to international Grand Prix dressage, giving Cesha another line in which successful young horse performance was followed by proven ability at the highest level of the sport. Junior STV’s sire, Uniform, was also recognised for his contribution to Dutch dressage breeding and was awarded the KWPN Preferent predicate.
Cesha’s pedigree therefore combines Glamourdale, Negro and Ferro on her sire’s side with UB40, Junior STV and Uniform through CE Idonae. It brings together multiple generations of international Grand Prix performance alongside horses that have proven themselves both in young horse competition and through the quality of their offspring.
We are particularly excited that Cesha is already beginning to demonstrate some of the qualities we hoped this combination would produce. At the 2026 BEF Futurity she was awarded a High Gold, with her canter receiving a particularly strong mark. With Glamourdale’s exceptional canter and ability to sit being such defining features of his own performance, it is especially exciting for us to see the quality of the canter coming through in Cesha at this early stage.
Cesha has been retained with the intention of producing her for competition, while hopefully incorporating her into our breeding programme in the future. With her pedigree, early evaluation and the qualities she is already beginning to show, we are incredibly excited to see how she develops.
